Endovascular Cardiac Complications Course – Case Competition
(Nov. 4-5, 2026)

Dear Colleagues,

Summer is over, school is back – and it is time for us to return to work as well.
Open your notebooks, refresh your cath lab memories, and search your hard drives: ECC ROMANIA 2026 is calling for cases.

We are looking for the cases that made you think, sweat, improvise, change strategy—or simply ask yourself: “How did we get here?”
We especially want cases involving difficult decisions, unexpected complications, bailout techniques, device-related problems and those memorable situations where Plan A became Plan B… then C… and occasionally something not found in any guideline.

But keep in mind, this is not an exam and we’re not here to judge: complications are part of our work and an unavoidable step in our improvement, so don’t hesitate to share your experience. By presenting your case, you may help colleagues prevent similar complications, navigate challenging situations, and ultimately provide better care for patients.

There is also an extra incentive to submit your case:

Presenters of selected cases will receive complimentary meeting registration and accommodation.
And because every class deserves prizes, the best-presented cases will be recognized at the Closing Ceremony.

What we’d like you to send (Case submission guidelines):

A 5-7 slide powerpoint presentation containing:
• a title that does not reveal the case complication or outcomes
• a short clinical presentation of the clinical case
• still frames of the diagnostic angiography, of the complication and the management, with short explanations (initial plan, complication occurrence, management)
• take-home messages (What makes the case worth sharing, and what can others learn from it?)

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

Bring us your best complication.
Or your worst one.
Very often, they are the same case.

Romanian & Hungarian CTO Workshop – Case Competition
(Nov. 6-7, 2026)

Dear Colleagues,

Every CTO operator has those cases that stay with them.
The ones where the anatomy looked straightforward… until it didn’t.
The ones where the first wire refused to cooperate.
The ones where the original strategy had to be completely reconsidered.
And, of course, the ones where you finally got there and thought: “That was worth discussing.”

For the Romanian & Hungarian CTO Workshop 2026, we are inviting you to share these cases with us.
We are looking for interesting, challenging and educational CTO PCI cases that can spark discussion and bring different perspectives to the table. It does not have to be a perfect textbook case. Sometimes the most valuable cases are the ones where things did not go exactly as planned.

Selected cases will be presented during the Romanian & Hungarian CTO Workshop in Oradea and discussed together with experienced CTO operators. This is your opportunity to share your approach, hear how others might have tackled the same challenge, and take home practical ideas that can be applied in your own cath lab.

Guidelines

• Accepted formats: PowerPoint Presentation or PDF file (max. 250 MB);
• Slides should be prepared in PPT or PDF and images must be embedded;
• Presentations must be submitted and delivered in English;
• The presentation Title and Author’s name must appear on the first slide;
